Be Kind, Not Just Nice: Transforming Your Conversations Recording & Training Toolkit

We all know the phrase “if you’re not going to say something nice, then don’t say anything at all.” But what do we do when others don’t follow that rule and say things and act in ways that are unkind? What about when that unkindness impacts people and communities we care about, including our LGBTQ+ loved ones? What do we do when being kind means speaking up and not being so nice? Join the PFLAG team to learn some of the skills you need to transform your conversations and stand up for what you believe in without becoming unkind yourself.

One of our key goals is to help you take the information that you learned in this session and use it to make your chapter stronger and more effective. To do that, we’ve created this page to provide you with tools, resources, and references to materials mentioned in the workshop. As always, the PFLAG National staff is here to help. If you have any questions, comments, or just need some good advice, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
